EP 088: Creating a Nature-Focused Business with Rosie Hill
Thursday Jul 18, 2024
Thursday Jul 18, 2024
I loved having this conversation with Rosie after we first met at one of her nature-focused day retreats. The retreat was a birthday present from my husband, and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but as soon as I arrived and saw the beautiful setting Rosie had created, I knew it would be a special day!
Rosie is the co-founder of Wild Ivy Retreats, a sanctuary dedicated to fostering community and nurturing a deeper sense of self through meaningful connections with nature. Their retreats and events offer guided meditations, foraging experiences, nourishing food, creative workshops, and a strong sense of community. Rosie is passionate about helping people find stillness and create space for their minds to rest, guiding them on a journey to inner peace and rejuvenation.
I loved hearing more about Rosie’s story, how she came to create Wild Ivy Retreats, and what this work means to her. I hope you enjoy listening too, and it inspires you to not only get out in nature but also to notice what lights you up and consider how you can follow your own passions too.
Here’s what is included in this episode:
- How a desire to create a nature-focused space to call in community post-Covid led to her co-founding Wild Ivy Retreats.
- Being surrounded by people in the festival scene who were following their passion through their work, and how this sparked ideas about how and where she could work.
- Rosie’s adventure in Guatemala where she learnt the art of space holding and ceremony and what was said that helped her overcome imposter syndrome.
- How Covid lockdown time gave her space to connect with nature and develop her practices, which would become her thriving retreat business.
- We talk about the learnings and connections we can gain from being in nature, and the surprising message I “received” before I arrived at Rosie’s retreat!
